The assault charge has a maximum sentence of up to one year in prison.

“Since this is the defendant’s first conviction, although he technically faces a year in jail, the judge will 99 percent give him three years of probation, anger management and possibly some community service. Mr. Majors is not going to jail,” said Cary London, a Manhattan-based criminal and civil rights defense attorney at Shulman & Hill. THR.

Following his verdict, Jonathan’s lawyer hinted that he might appeal the ruling.

The actor had a promising future in the MCU, with many future appearances, including one Avengers film focused on his character Kang the Conqueror. However, after he was found guilty, Marvel Studios excluded the actor from all future projects.
