The famous actress Emma Stone went viral at the 2024 Golden Globes after calling Taylor Swift an idiot.
“What a hole. I’ve known her for almost 20 years. I was so happy that she was there and that she was nominated tonight as well, which was wonderful. And yes, what a hole,” she said.

However, the actress was joking. But in this era of social media and pushing content for clicks, several outlets took Stone’s comments out of context.
“I’m definitely not going to make a joke like that again… because I saw headlines that really took it out of context,” Stone told Variety.
In 2023, Stone praised Swift for helping her get tickets to her highly-hyped Eras tour.
“I was lucky because we have been friends for a long time. “I’ve known her since we were 17 and 18, so she hooked me up, which was really nice because I know those tickets are impossible to get,” Stone said.
