Al Harris’ wife, Shyla Harris, has four children with the former NFL star. They have been married for 16 years, but Al has never revealed anything about his private life. Harris began his coaching career with the Dolphins in 2012, and previously coached the Kansas City Chiefs for six seasons. In 2020, he became the defensive backs coach of the Dallas Cowboys. According to the interview, Shyla is from Pompano Beach, Florida. The reporter asked Shyla how Green Bay compares to her hometown, and she said she likes Green Bay. She described the residents of Green Bay as friendly and hospitable. Shyla said Green Bay is a very family-oriented community and their support for the team is evident. When asked how she met Al, Shyla said her husband and an older cousin attended the same high school and played football. One night, she was out with her cousin when Al saw her.
Al didn’t know they were cousins, so he believed Shyla was dating her cousin. But they immediately corrected him, and Shyla’s cousin introduced her to the player. The rest was history. Shyla was studying sociology at the time and informed the interviewer that she planned to pursue a degree in nursing after graduation. Al Jr. played 12 games as a freshman cornerback, four of which he started. He made 21 tackles and broke up three passes. Harris Jr. he made 25 tackles in 10 games during his sophomore year. He transferred to Jacksonville State University his freshman year, although nothing is known about his time there. Al Harris Jr was believed to have signed with the Green Bay Blizzard of the minor league in 2021, however, he is no longer on the roster. The remaining three children of Al and Shyla have remained out of the limelight and nothing is known about them.
