Career
Sepp Kuss started mountain bike racing at a young age. At the 2014 Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals, Kuss won two events. In 2015, he started racing on the road, where he soon found his feet. At the end of 2015, he won another University MTB Championship. Kuss began the 2016 season with the Gateway Harley Davidson / Trek amateur team.
His first major achievement was a surprise victory in the Redlands Bicycle Classic on the summit finish stage. Following that, Kuss finished fourth in the Mogollon stage of the Tour of Gila UCI 2.2 Stage event. Kuss made a solid showing at the Collegiate Road Nationals that year while racing for the University of Colorado. He was awarded a full-season contract with Rally Cycling next year after joining the team earlier in 2016. LottoNL-Jumbo signed Kuss to a two-year contract for the 2018 and 2019 seasons after seeing his success in rallying.
