Matt Rife is one of the most popular comedians these days and his new Netflix special will help his star rise even higher.
The 28-year-old comedian is successful in his career and love life right now, as he’s going strong with his new girlfriend Jessica Lord.
Matt confirmed his relationship status in August 2023 and the couple recently made their red carpet debut at an event in New York City.

Jessica is a British actress and dancer who grew up in Canada.
“I actually spent most of my childhood in Canada, so I feel like I have Canadian intonation but still with northern vowels,” Jessica told her followers in a TikTok video. “I was very close to my family and still am and when I was filming in Europe, I would go visit my family in the UK. “I never lost my roots, but I definitely don’t think I’m as strong as I would be if I were still there, of course.”
Jessica appears in Hulu drama Meet me in Paris.
What did Matt say? He addressed his relationship status in a new interview on 2 bears, 1 cave.
“I have a girlfriend,” he said, when asked crudely if he was “drowning in the pussy” as a result of his newfound fame, adding that “a good chunk” of his audience knows about her.
“It’s an early relationship, about four or five months, but we’ve known each other for about a year and a half. She is wonderful,” she continued, clarifying that she is an actress.
When asked if she is jealous of the attention Matt receives, she said that he is a very confident person. “She is very smart. She I love that. She has never felt insecure about the amount of attention I receive. She sees it like I see it… a girl will scream in the middle of a show like ‘fuck me!’ or something wild… and a lot of girls would be like, ‘Do you have girls yelling at you in the middle of the show?’” she continued. “I get off the stage and she asks, what the hell is that girl’s problem? That’s so annoying, you’re in the middle of trying out this new part that I know you’ve been working so hard on, and now she’s ruined the whole damn thing.
“She is very calm and understanding, which is what I like most about our relationship,” he added.
Matt said People Let Jessica help you stay grounded.
“She forces me to take personal time, obviously, and I love that,” he said. “Every time she says, ‘Can we have tomorrow to ourselves?’ I say, ‘Thank you.’ I’d love to have that.’ She is the most concerned about my sleeping problem. She always makes sure that she eats that day and that she does my work so that I can have free time.”
Matt has joked about Jessica on stage, saying “she loves it. She is British, so she has the best sense of humor.”
In Matt’s Netflix special, he talks about “feminine” tropes like astrology and crystals and Fashion I asked him if he liked that stuff.
“No, no. She doesn’t like crystals or astrology or anything like that, thank God. That would have been the biggest red flag,” he said.
