Netflix’s new food contest series Snack vs. Chef has 12 creative chefs competing for a $50,000 cash prize. Luna Contreras used to be one of the contestants on the reality TV show. On her Instagram feed, the talented chef describes herself as a “brown transgender girl” from Portland, Oregon. She is a proud transgender woman and has always openly supported the LGBTQ+ community on social media.
Luna’s participation in Snack vs. Chef was announced with an Instagram post, writing:
“As a transgender woman, my grandmother would be delighted.” I’m so glad I’ve worked to continue to raise awareness for transgender youth and represent Portland! “
She claims the cooking show was filmed in Stamford, Connecticut, during the outbreak.

All about chef Luna Contreras .’s working experience
Luna Contreras has spent most of her career working at several restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to her LinkedIn profile. Luna worked as a kitchen assistant at Fonda in the San Francisco Bay Area after completing a one-year internship at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California.
She joined Mexico DF as co-executive chef after three years at Fonda. In 2009, Luna became the head chef at Mamacita restaurant and quickly made a name for herself in the culinary world.
