Kane Wommack’s wife, Melissa Wommack, is a strong supporter of her husband’s teams. The couple have three children and just celebrated their first born, Asher’s tenth birthday. Melissa Wommack has posted multiple times about the South Alabama football team on X (the old Twitter). Melissa sent out tweets celebrating the accomplishments of the coaches, players and support staff. The mother of three sons has already expressed her delight at joining the Crimson Tide family. In one of her latest tweets, she described what it’s like to be a part of college football. After Nick Saban announced his retirement, the Alabama football team quickly tapped Kalen DeBoer as his successor. DeBoer named Kane defensive coordinator and Maurice Linguist co-defensive coordinator.
Meet Kane Wommack’s wife, Melissa Wommack
Kane Wommack married Melissa Wommack on June 5, 2011. During their 12-year marriage, the couple lived in many places and had three sons. Melissa is a Hattiesburg native who graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. The Alabama defensive coordinator is believed to have met his wife at Southern Miss, where they graduated nearly at the same time.
Melissa previously worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North Mississippi. Melissa hasn’t changed her Facebook account in a decade, but still shares things under her username X. Melissa recently talked about how quickly things change in college football. Melissa stated, “A week ago, I woke up and Nick Saban was still the head coach at Alabama.” Two days later, Kalen DeBoer was named head coach and his press conference was held the next day. Two days later, Kane was offered the DC position and left Mobile the next day.”
She further said that the speed of work does not allow for farewells that reflect how important individuals are to you. The coach’s wife went on to say how much they enjoyed their time in Mobile and how much they will miss everyone there. Melissa praised the South Alabama football team on Twitter and said JagNation will always have a special place in her heart. Melissa would routinely post updates about the accomplishments of South Alabama athletes or support staff on her social media accounts. So we should expect her to do the same for the Crimson Tide.
Kane and Melissa have three children
Kane and Melissa have three children, all three are boys. Melissa and Kane just celebrated the birthday of their baby, Asher. Their first child, Asher, was born on January 5, 2014. Melissa told Asher the story of her first pregnancy in her birthday tweet. Melissa said Kane was the GA at Ole Miss throughout her pregnancy with Asher. Her labor began during the Rebels basketball game that ended in overtime, and when they left, she could barely walk to her vehicle.
Melissa’s narrative ended on a cliffhanger, asking her followers to guess where Kane went before going to the hospital. Tatum, the football couple’s second child, was born on June 14, 2015, while Jones, their third child, was born on June 5, 2019. Melissa posted various family pictures of her sons on her X account. Melissa sent a tribute to her loving husband on Father’s Day last year. She uploaded three photos of Kane and his three sons enjoying themselves away from the football field.
Melissa wrote: “Happy Father’s Day, Kane Wommack. I enjoy being a parent with you, and these three boys adore their father. Your legacy of selfless love and leadership lives on! (Unlike your covid mustache, which was just a phase.)”
