Jordan Greenway’s mother raised him and his brother James as a single parent. Jordan’s father, James, left the family when he was three years old. Jordan never learned about his father or spent time with him. Shannon made her boys feel loved and supported, even when their father wasn’t around. She constantly encouraged Jordan to pursue his interests, whether it was sports or something else.
Shannon loved hockey and passed that on to Jordan. He started playing hockey at an early age, and his potential was quickly recognized. The coaches soon saw his talent. Before going to Minnesota for high school, he started playing hockey in Canton, New York. Jordan was eventually drafted by the Minnesota Wild in 2015. Jordan Greenway currently plays as a hockey forward for the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres. His success is the result of his hard work, as well as the support and advice of his mother, Shannon, who has been by his side throughout.
Jordan Greenway’s parents: James and Shannon Sullivan
Jordan Greenway was born on February 16, 1997 in Canton, New York to James and Shannon Sullivan. Jordan’s father was originally part of the family but left when Jordan was little, leaving Shannon to raise Jordan and his brother alone. Shannon has taken on the roles of both mother and father to her boys. She was only 20 years old when Jordan was born and attended Canton College while still working as a waitress and bartender to support her family. Despite the difficulties, Shannon had a burning desire to become a mother and devoted herself to caring for her children.
Despite the hardships of being a single mother, Shannon never grumbled or felt sorry for herself. Instead, she faced the problem head on, determined to offer the best life for her children. She worked hard and made sacrifices to give her boys what they needed to achieve. Her encouragement and determination helped Jordan become the successful NHL player he is today.
