The super-catchy new single from the “Love at First Sight” superstar, “Padam Padam,” is an instant favorite on social media, with fans syncing the song to hilarious dance videos and adding the term “padam” to popular memes.

The term is an example of onomatopoeia, and is a reference to the sound of a heartbeat, as she sings: “Padam, padam, I hear it and I know it / Padam, padam, I know you want to take me home / Padam, and take off all my clothes / Padam, padam, when your heart says ‘padam’.”
