Once the new contract is drafted, WGA members will have to vote for its ratification.

News of the likely end to the writers’ strike comes after the studios presented their “last and best” offer on Saturday night (September 23).

Variety and other major trade newspapers are also reporting that as the WGA strike appears to be coming to an end, it could also be followed by the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

The WGA has been on strike since May. Details about the contract are expected to be published soon and will be available to the press soon.
