Vikramjit Singh was born on Thursday, 9 January 2003 (age 20 years; as of 2023) in Cheema Khurd, Punjab, India. Their zodiac sign is Capricorn. Khushi Cheema, Singh’s grandfather, fled the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Punjab, India, and took refuge in the Netherlands. Khushi started her career as a cab driver before setting up her own transport business in Amstelveen. The family moved back and forth between the Netherlands and India during the following years before choosing to live permanently in the Netherlands when Vikramjit Singh was seven years old.

Vikramjit Singh made his international debut for the Netherlands A team at the age of 15. In the 2019 Under-19 World Cup Europe Qualifier, Singh also played for the Netherlands under-19 national cricket team. His 304 runs in five innings made him the second highest scorer during the tournament, and his personal best was 133 against France.
Vikramjeet Singh was selected to play for the Netherlands’ Twenty20 International (T20I) team in the Ireland Tri-Nation Series in September 2019, which took place during the 2019–20 season. On 19 September 2019, he represented the Netherlands against Scotland in his first T20I match.
In April 2020, Vikramjit Singh was selected as one of seventeen Netherlands cricket players to join the senior national team. On May 11, 2021, Singh appeared in his first List A match for the Netherlands A team against Ireland Wolves on the Ireland tour. In the same month, he was selected to represent the Dutch One Day International (ODI) team for the series against Scotland. In February 2022, Vikramjit Singh was selected to be part of the Dutch ODI cricket team for the series against New Zealand. Vikramjit Singh became the first Indian Sikh to play international cricket for the Netherlands in October 2022. Singh set a new ODI personal best at the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Harare, Zimbabwe in July 2023. By scoring 110 runs against Oman, he broke his previous record of 88 runs and contributed to his team’s 74-run victory.

- When Singh was eleven years old, Netherlands captain Peter Boren noticed him and urged him to join the VRA Amsterdam cricket team. Soon, he started taking cricket training at Amit and Boren Uniyal’s Chandigarh Academy for several years.
