On 10 February 2023, a screenshot of Vaibhav’s tweet went viral on social media, in which he mentioned “hearing abuses from DG madam every day”. It was seen in the video that he had recorded the official meeting between himself and DG Shobha Ohatkar and shared it on social media. After the video went viral, DG Shobha Ohatkar sent him a show cause notice. He was accused of violating the provisions of Rule 3 of the All India Services Conduct Rules, 1968 and breach of confidentiality. The notice said,

The matter of your recording in the viral message has become public. It is clear that the discussions taking place in office meetings are recorded by you. This reveals your wrong intentions.
