Valheim: How to Find (& Smelt) Black Metal Scrap

Valheim is an open world game set in the mythical Nordic world. To counter confrontation with the enemy, the player must craft weapons for defensive and offensive purposes. One way is to collect and melt ferrous scrap.

The process of smelting scrap metal creates metal ingots, which in turn allow the player to craft a variety of weapons. Such weapons include the black metal Atgeir, the black metal ax, the black metal knife, the black metal sword, and the black metal shield. These items are very useful when facing larger living enemies.

According to GameSkinny, Black Metal Scrap can be earned by defeating Fulings. Poria is divided into three types walheim; Normal, Berserker and Fring Shaman. All of these creature variants drop shards of black metal when defeated. Remember that these are very strong enemies, so players should wear Iron Armor when facing these monsters, whether it is a single monster or an entire faction.

Scrap iron can only be melted in a blast furnace. Blast Furnace is crafted with 20 Pure Wood, 10 Iron, 20 Stone and 5 Extra Cores. High-quality wood can be found by chopping down birch and oak trees, while iron can be obtained by opening chests in the swamp biome. Stones can be found all over the map. They can be picked up directly from the ground, or mined. Surtling Core is dropped when defeating Surtling. Note that the blast furnace must be built within the distance determined by the artisan table position.

Blast furnaces use coal as fuel and produce ferrous rods from ferrous scrap. It takes 30 seconds to make one bar. Since a cinder block burns for 15 seconds, it takes 2 cinder blocks to make a gold nugget. In addition, the Blast Furnace can hold 20 Coal and 10 Scrap Iron.

After crafting the Iron Ingot, the player can choose to use this item to craft a variety of Iron weapons. Black Metal Atgeir, Black Metal Ax, Black Metal Knife, Black Metal Sword and Black Metal Shield are some of the options that can be crafted with this material. Note that crafting these weapons requires additional materials walheim.
