He then met the famous Indian actress Dia Mirza, and as per the sources, the couple was living together at Pali Hill, Mumbai amid the coronavirus lockdown. On Monday, 15 February 2021, the couple got married in a private ceremony. Dia Mirza got separated from her first husband Sahil Sangha in 2011.

In May 2021, Vaibhav and Dia welcomed a baby boy; however, they shared the news with the public on 14 July 2021. They named their son Avyaan Azaad.
Career
In 2004, he started working as an associate at HSBC. He then worked at DTZ Corporate Finance as an associate director, and in 2008, he joined Savills Capital Advisors as a director. In October 2010, he started working as a partner at Piramal Fund Management in Mumbai.
