The successful writer and producer is no stranger to helping those in need.
Tyler Perry, 54, is being praised for helping a 93-year-old woman who was about to lose everything.
The Josephine Wright home in South Carolina has been owned and passed down through generations since the Civil War era. Sources directly involved have revealed to TMZ that Perry is in the process of building a luxurious five-bedroom home for Wright in South Carolina. This new home will serve as a replacement for the one she currently resides in with her grandchildren.
The property is currently involved in a challenging land dispute. Once they have all the permits sorted out, Perry’s construction team will begin building the house in a few weeks.
According TMZ, Perry extended his support to Wright in July after learning of his legal dispute with Bailey Point Investment Group. Bailey Point has expressed interest in purchasing Wright’s land on Hilton Head, but has since been determined to preserve it because it contains generations of family history.

In response, Bailey Point filed suit in an attempt to forcibly seize their property.
Wright told WSAV-TV how Bailey Point got city approval to develop 29 acres of land behind his house. Shortly after, she had to turn down an offer to buy her house. After Wright refused, she claimed that Bailey Point began harassing her, leading to a lawsuit to seize her property that she claims has been with her family since the Civil War era.
One of Josephine’s grandchildren organized a GoFundMe to help her pay her legal fees. In September, an update on the page reveals that a tree fell on the house, causing 2 holes in the roof that now need repair.
Fortunately, Wright can rest easy knowing that Tyler Perry will step in.
