While chatting about how he got started, Trevor asked Tyla about the first artist he “emulated.”
“I always stick to songs, not specific artists,” he responded. “But I do remember that I loved Rihanna’s story because she came from outside the United States.” (Rihanna is from Barbados).
Tyla added: “It made me feel like my dream was achievable because like you said, it’s not something that happens to us every day. “My whole family wanted to be stars and that didn’t happen to them.”
Another big star recently revealed that she admires Rihanna in the makeup field.
