Initially, Scott was paired with Jessica Baxter (Kara Patterson), a staunch and hilarious US Marshal who did an excellent job. However, due to being pregnant, she was quickly called to the office to ensure the safety of her and her unborn baby.

While fans loved Scott and Xavier’s pairing, they wanted Jessica back to work in season two. After all, she does her job pretty well, which shows that women can continue to be successful in the workplace after having children.

As his new career unfolded, fans were curious to see if the hacker would play a supporting role in the second season. Not only does this lead to more cybercrime, but the hacker can also become a hilarious comedian in the play.

Xavier and Oliva stay in the city

Xavier (Brandon Jay McLaren) is not only Scott’s temporary sidekick in the first season, but also an official character with his own backstory. When Scott got to know Xavier, so did the fans who knew about his relationship with Olivia (Christina Rosato). Their relationship soured when Olivia accepted a job in another state, forcing Xavier to either move out or break up with her.

The two eventually got married, but the big move was made. Many fans hope that the two will stay in the city, because the show will not be interesting without Xavier’s presence.

When Laura discovers her father is dead while solving one last case, it is her duty to close the case and bring to justice. While the case may be closed, fans hope Laura will continue her Nancy Drew style in season two. After all, she solved the case in a way that even her father, a seasoned detective, could not.

Scott took Matthew to work

Despite his young age, Matthew (Jeremy Maguire) is instrumental in helping with dogfights and is an excellent dog sitter while watching Hodge. Fans hope to see more of him in season two, and they have plenty of ideas for how to “get your nephew to work.”

Scott and Matthew have a lovely uncle and niece relationship, and Matthew loves solving cases, which is why he thrives in the Marshall office of America. Of course, Matthew won’t be able to solve the actual case with Scott, but just being in the office can boost him and give fans an interesting twist.
