Travis Kelce is following Taylor Swift’s lead and ditching the haters who booed his lady at Sunday’s Chiefs game against the New England Patriots.
On the latest episode of Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, the tight end discussed his reaction to the response Swift received from NFL fans.
“They showed Taylor in the game,” Travis told his brother Jason Kelce on Wednesday’s episode. “You don’t see an entire fan base of the home team going crazy over someone who wears the opposite colors.”
“It just shows you how amazing that girl is,” he continued. “They went completely crazy when they showed Taylor on the screen.”
Kelce admitted, however, that there was a decent amount of booing among the excited Swifties in attendance. “Some Brads and Chads may have been booing,” she said. “But for the most part, everyone was screaming their heads off for her.”
With his megastar girlfriend Taylor Swift in the stands, Travis Kelce said he did his best to “stay calm” and not “show [his] cards.”
“It was fun, man,” Kelce said. “Taylor has gone on record as saying that that stadium was one of the most fun he has ever played in. So to show it to you, let’s thank the Patriots for doing that.”

The doting boyfriend also shouted out Swift’s father, who attended the game with his daughter sporting a “vintage and stylish” Chiefs sweater. “Sir. Quickly [was] with the entire Chiefs team,” Travis said. “It suits him very well.”
“He’s rocking. And he seems to be having fun.”
Travis Kelce met Taylor Swift’s father for the first time last month. Since he began a romance with Taylor, Travis has turned the singer into a true football fan. It seems that he also used his powers of persuasion on Mr. Swift.
“I could have persuaded him [to be a Kansas City Chiefs fan] at dinner the night before when I met him,” Travis said on the “New Heights” podcast in November.
Taylor Swift herself had the perfect reaction to the inhospitable welcome from the Patriots crowd. After laughing at the boos, she proceeded to ignore them completely, preferring to chat with her new friend Brittany Mahomes and watch the game up close.
Meanwhile, her father became popular with fans when he shared Taylor’s birthday cake with the neighboring suite.
Taylor Swift’s most recent appearance at the Travis Kelce game marks her seventh Chiefs game this year. The couple is still going strong and are reportedly planning to spend the holidays together in Kansas City.
