Despite being a Super Bowl LVIII champion, Travis Kelce is receiving criticism for partying hours after the tragic shooting at the Kansas City parade.
According to TMZ, Kelce was seen entering the Granfalloon restaurant and bar on Wednesday, February 14. He also ended up being stopped by some police officers to take a selfie.
The trip to the bar comes several hours after parade-goers scrambled to safety after shots were fired near Union Station.
When pictures of the bar surfaced, it didn’t take long for Travis Kelce to receive criticism for his decision to stay out. “Travis Kelce kept the party going even after kids got shot and someone died,” declared one reviewer on
Another person wrote: “It just goes to show that people with fame status don’t care about the people who made them rich and famous.”
Travis Kelce previously used his X account to share his support for those involved in the shooting. “I am heartbroken by the tragedy that took place today,” he wrote on X. “My heart goes out to everyone who came to celebrate with us and was affected. KC, you mean a lot to me.”
Patrick Mahomes also posted on X declaring: “Praying for Kansas City” with prayer emojis.
Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu later said on his X account: “Prayers for those affected at the parade today. A time of celebration ends in tragedy. When are we going to fix these gun laws? How many more people have to die to say enough is enough? “It is too easy for the wrong people to obtain guns in the United States and that is a FACT.”
