“Let’s talk about MOLD… Here we are again in the ER. We have all been in this continuous spiral of illness for months. Sick. Improve. To get sick again. I used to think… well, that’s what happens when you have little kids at school. They continually bring illnesses home,” Tori began on Instagram, along with photos of her wearing a face mask and her children waiting to see the doctor.

“But, when it gets to the point where they are sicker at home than at school, we had to reevaluate what was going on,” Tori continued. “Children will be children, but when you have the little ones (10 and 6 years old) so sick that they sleep all day and say they get dizzy even standing up, I knew something bigger was going on. Enter the mold inspection! Thanks to Sean from Pacific Scope Inspections she went out and discovered extreme mold in our house 😱”.

Tori then went on to explain some of the symptoms that she and her family began to experience due to mold.

“All the pieces started to fit together. Has anyone ever had mold infections? You keep getting sick, one infection after another,” Tori shared. “Respiratory infections. Extreme allergy-like symptoms too and like my Finn rashes too. As we sit here today in the ER…we watch as everyone swabs and discovers Finn has strep throat for the first time ✅ and a high fever of 103”.

After discovering mold in her house, Tori and her family now have to evict her to treat it.

“We now know that when the house was labeled a health hazard and uninhabitable, that wording was DONE. Now WE HAVE IT!” Tori wrote. “It’s hard to uproot a big family, especially in the midst of everything that feels so sick and bedridden. But, now we will leave home as soon as possible. Looking for an @airbnb or @vrbo or hotel until we know what to do. We are just renters, so it seems that moving is in our eminent future as well. Grateful we have renters insurance. We wouldn’t know how to approach this without him.”

Tori concluded her message by criticizing her children’s school district for not believing that her children were sick.

“And, a special thank you to our public school district for not repeatedly believing that our children were as ill as they have continually been. Just take them to school right 😡?” Tori wrote. “Has anyone had mold disease? The deeper I go online, sadly I see how common this is 😢 #mold #moldinfection.”

Earlier this year, Tori took another of her children to the ER.
