Toni-Ann was born in 1996 (age 23 years; as of 2019), in Morant, St. Thomas, a city in Jamaica. At the age of 9, Toni moved to Florida with her family. To complete her schooling, she attended Palmetto Ridge High School and Naples Community School in Florida. She joined Florida State University, Tallahassee to complete her graduate studies in Women’s Studies and Psychology. She aspires to become a medical doctor.

Toni-Ann Singh was born Bradshaw Singh, who is of Indo-Caribbean descent. His mother is Zahreen Bailey-Singh of African-Caribbean descent. Tony is very close to his mother. He posted a photo with his mother on his Instagram and captioned it,
I am the result of many sacrifices of this incredible and #worthywoman. Every hour (and there were many) spent in the car waiting for voice, piano or ballet class to end. For every lesson, taught and retaught. No amount of thanks are enough…this moment was ours. I love you mom.”
After winning the title of Miss World 2019 she said,
It was very important to have my family here and their support motivated me to do my best. When dad came on stage to hug me, he accidentally dropped the crown, but that’s just dad.

Tony has served as President of the Caribbean Student Association on campus. The first beauty pageant she participated in was in 2005 for the Florida Caribbean Association. She competed in the 58th Miss Jamaica pageant in 2019. She won the pageant and was crowned Miss Jamaica 2019 by Miss World Jamaica 2018, Kadijah on 21 September 2019. Robinson.

Singh became the fourth contestant of Jamaican origin to win the Miss World title 2019 held in London. The other three who won the title are Carol Joan Crawford 1962, Cindy Breakspear 1976 and Lisa Hanna 1993.

- Tony started singing in a local church when he was about 5 or 6 years old. At the age of 9, she took up singing seriously and later, joined music classes. She is a versatile opera singer. In an interview he said,
I think there was a time when I (wanted to sing) when I really thought about what I wanted to do with my life – and that was serving people, and medicine, and helping people in my community. . I didn’t write it. If the doors open, why not?”
