Tom Sandoval opens up about the end of his relationship with Raquel Leviss (who is now called Rachel).
He Vanderpump Rules The co-stars were involved in an affair that broke the Internet after it was revealed earlier this year. The Scandoval, as it came to be called, ended Tom’s long relationship with his girlfriend Ariana Madix and shook the cast of the Bravo show.
After the Scandoval explosion, Tom and Raquel separated. In a new interview, Tom opened up about how he “fought” for his ex and where he stands now.

While in the Two T’s in one capsule On the podcast, Tom explained how he “fought so hard” for Raquel after she entered a treatment program, via Today.
“I stopped drinking. I stopped smoking cigarettes because she went to a center. I say, ‘She can’t drink, she can’t smoke.’ I’m going to quit,’” she recalled. “I haven’t gone this long without drinking since I was 16 and it’s been eight months and I stopped drinking because of her.”
He added: “And I was there in whatever way she needed me.”
Tom said he “of course” missed Raquel and described their relationship as “best friends.”
“It’s heartbreaking to go through that. He was completely in love with her. This is not just a sexy girl. Come on, I was a model for about 15 years, it’s deeper than that. It’s more than that,” she said.
He added that he was not sure if Raquel ever loved him, but expressed hope that she did.
Tom previously spoke about how he and Raquel behaved after the Scandoval broke up and revealed what his current situation is with Ariana.
