Tom Rinaldi is an Award-winning American reporter and journalist for Fox Sports. Tom Rinaldi is widely known for his contributions to ESPN’s tennis coverage at Wimbledon and the US Open, ESPN’s golf coverage, College GameDay, and Sunday NFL Countdown.

Initially, Tom Rinaldi began his career as an English teacher and a coach in high school. From 1993 to 1996, he worked as a reporter for WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana, and from 1996 to 1998, he worked for KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon. Later, he became a reporter for CNN/SI from 1998–2002.
Rinaldi was the lead interviewer and feature reporter for ESPN and ABC’s golf coverage from 2006 to 2020. In this capacity, he has received praise for many of his essays, particularly those written after major events.
He conducted Tiger Woods’ first interview following the November 27, 2009 incident that resulted in Woods’ public disclosure of his extramarital affairs. Additionally, he worked as a sideline reporter for the NBA playoffs on ESPN in 2017.
He helped cover Wimbledon and the US Open for ESPN, as well as SportsCenter, Outside the Lines, College GameDay, and Sunday NFL Countdown. He also provided commentary for horse racing telecasts.
In 2016, he published “The Man in the Red Bandanna,” a book about Welles Crowther, a New York City volunteer firefighter who saved 18 people before dying when the World Trade Center collapsed after the September 11 attacks.
Moreover, he left ESPN in December 2020 to join Fox Sports, where he is expected to cover major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, World Series, World Cup, and major college football games. Currently, he is working as a reporter for Fox Sports.
