Tom Holland is celebrating a major milestone in his life.
While promoting his new Apple TV+ series, the 26-year-old actor shared that he has been sober and alcohol-free for a year and four months.

Tom says playing the role of Danny, who has a split personality, made him take a step back and re-evaluate his own struggles with mental health and beyond.
“Learning about mental health and its power, and talking to psychiatrists about [the characters] Danny and Billy’s struggles have been very informative for my own life,” he shared with Entertainment Weekly.
He went on to say that he is “no stranger to the physical aspects of the job in doing the entire action movie. But the mental aspect really hit me and it took me a long time to recover, to get back to reality.”
Tom then spoke about breaking away from the role, after filming for almost a year on the project.
“I was seeing myself in him, but in my personal life,” he says. “I remember having a little meltdown at home and thinking, ‘I’m going to shave my head.’ “I need to shave my head because I need to get rid of this character.” And obviously we were halfway through filming, so I decided not to do it. … It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.”
