Thom Brennaman is an American television sportscaster. Additionally, Thom Brennaman is the son of former Cincinnati Reds radio sportscaster Marty Brennaman.
Early life
Thomas Wade Brennaman, better known as Thom Brennaman, was born in September 12, 1963 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States of America. According to his date of birth, he is 58 years and has American nationality.

On August 19, 2020, while commentating on the first game of a home doubleheader between the Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals, he was overheard saying that a certain place was “one of the fag capitals of the world.”
After later apologizing, he was removed from the broadcast of the second game of the doubleheader. The Reds prohibited him from broadcasting that day.
Career
While studying at Ohio University, he joined radio station WATH to practice his announcing skills.
After graduating from Ohio, he joined Cincinnati’s NBC station, WLWT-TV, as a sports reporter and anchor. Along with MLB Hall of Famer Johnny Bench, he also began working as a television play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Reds.
In the early 1990s, he broadcast Chicago Cubs events for WGN-TV and its national superstation. To call NFL and MLB broadcasts for the network, Fox Sports recruited him in 1994. For Fox, he also called college basketball and football.
From 1998 to 2006, he was the first television announcer for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
After the 2006 season, he left the Diamondbacks to live in Cincinnati with his father Marty. In 2006, Fox selected him to serve as the lead play-by-play announcer for the Bowl Championship Series.
He returned to Fox full time
Thom Brennaman called the Fiesta Bowl in 2007, the Sugar Bowl in 2008, and the Orange Bowl in 2009. In September 2007, the Big Ten Network named him the primary play-by-play announcer for college football games for two seasons.
