After starring The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills For nine years, Lisa Rinna submitted her resignation to NBCUniversal.
In a preview of season 13 of RHOBHRinna’s email resignation was shown on screen as cast member and friend Erika Jayne discussed her departure.
During the preview, Jayne arrived at a retreat hosted by her co-star Dorit Kemsley. She entered the place with apprehension, after a difficult year for the RHOBH cluster.
In a confessional, Erika explained: “So, I’m walking like a man on my own island. “My friend is gone,” referring to Rinna’s absence.
During that moment, Rinna’s email is displayed on the screen. She wrote: “I will not be renewing my contract and will not be returning to RHOBH. Thank you very much for 8 years!!!! All the best, Lisa.”

According Too Fab, Rinna announced in January that she would be leaving the series after eight seasons. At the time, fans of the show speculated that the star was fired after a fight with her coworkers. RHOBH co-star Kathy Hilton.
Lisa Rinna and Andy Cohen’s RHOBH Confusion
Bravo executive Andy Cohen weighed in on Rinna’s resignation in his book. The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up. In the book, he claimed that Rinna “immediately regretted” her decision and retracted her resignation.
“It feels like I have a toxic relationship with the show right now,” Cohen wrote, as reported by Too fabulous. “And taking a breather could do everyone some good.”
In the epilogue, Cohen continued, “We mutually agreed with Rinna that she should take a break from the show (this is a real hiatus).”
Although the Bravo executive claimed that Rinna regretted her decision, a representative for Rinna disagreed.
The representative exclaimed that Rinna was “more than happy to move on” and has “no regrets.”
Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres October 25 on Bravo.
