The melee left one person dead and several others injured. The deceased woman is Lisa López-Galván. She died wearing the jersey of Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker.

The kicker was a great help to Galván’s family during their time of mourning. The Super Bowl champion sent a t-shirt for López Galván’s funeral. Just like the one he wore in the parade.

“My wife Isabelle and I are heartbroken by Lisa’s murder due to degenerate violence,” Butker said in a statement, via the Kansas City Star.

“Hearing that she was a fan of my candor about our shared Catholic faith makes this even more personal. It is my honor to provide a t-shirt to her family for them to wear. As the family mourns her loss and deals with her numerous injuries, I will continue to pray for her healing and the repose of Lisa’s soul.”

“Right before I ran in, there was a little kid in front of me, so I grabbed him, picked him up and said, ‘You’re coming in here with me, buddy.’ “I don’t know how many people were in the closet, maybe more than 20,” Smith said.

“I just remember the security guards rushing us through the doors and saying, ‘Come on, hurry up, hurry up, hurry up.’ They said, ‘This is not a joke.’ It’s a life or death situation.’”
