She moved to Los Angeles when she was 10 years old to expose herself to better acting opportunities.
Miles was born on May 16, 1994 in Greenville, Kentucky. He grew up with his older sister Moriah. Miles began his acting career performing in community theater productions in Kentucky. His family lived in Kentucky for a while before moving to Los Angeles to give Miles better acting opportunities.
It was a shot in the dark for Miles and his family, as there was no guarantee the move would work. Miles spoke with under the magazine about the movement;
“Thinking about it now, it’s really crazy. With my logic now, it wouldn’t be like, ‘Yeah, we’re going to move to another state to do something that may or may not work.’ But at the time I was young and really wanted to, so yeah, we moved here.”
Her mother is a nurse and she knew she could get a job wherever she wanted. However, her sister did not fully agree with the measure. She respected what Miles did, but she had a hard time adjusting to life in Los Angeles. However, after a while, she came to love life in Los Angeles.
The move to Los Angeles didn’t affect Miles too much, as he was only ten years old at the time. He has gotten used to life in Los Angeles, but he still likes going back to Kentucky. He said under the radar;
“…I really like going there, because this is very embarrassing, but the food is good, and so I always want to go back for that reason and, of course, to see my family.”

Miles’ gamble to move to Los Angeles paid off enormously
The move to Los Angeles soon paid off when Miles made his screen debut in season 3 of CSI Miami. In 2006 she starred in the short film Paramedic. Later that year, she made a guest appearance on the horror series, ghost whisperer.
He landed his first film role when he played the role of Davey Danner in rails and ties. The movie turned out to be a commercial flop, but Miles received a lot of praise for his performance. Miles makes music in his spare time and he’s pretty good at it. He confessed in an interview with hero magazine; “My main hobby is music, I record a lot, I really love making music.”
Miles posts most of his music on SoundCloud and YouTube. Some of the songs he has done include Now I know and Almost. Thousands also perform in front of live audiences. His first performance was at The Smell in Los Angeles. He described his experience in an interview with hero magazine;
“It was really fun, it was really dark and weird in there and there were a lot of people… It was really scary and I was really nervous.”
For Miles, music is just a hobby and he doesn’t do it to earn money. He can also play various instruments, such as the guitar and the piano. Miles talked about his love of vintage pianos with under the radar;
“I really like old keyboards, so I have a few and I took one of those. It’s like a PortaSound, the old Yamaha, and I went up there and we played two songs. I used that for one, and then for ‘Tangerine’ I played guitar and my friend and I sang.”

Miles inspired his boyfriend Connor Jessup to come out as gay
Miles came out as gay at the age of 19. He was afraid to open up, but he finally found the courage to open up to his family and friends. Miles attended his first Pride march the year he came out and was happy surrounded by people he could relate to. He told L’Officiel:
“It was fun being around people that I could really relate to. I hadn’t had many experiences with people from the community up to that point, so it was such a nice feeling to be around people who understood me and had gone through the same experiences as me.”
Miles’ boyfriend, Connor Jessup, took a little longer to come out. Miles’s support gave him the strength he needed to come out publicly. Connor, a Locke & Key actor, told Attitude:
“The factor that led me to decide to come out of the closet, and I suppose maybe one of the sparks at the start of the fuse, was that I fell in love. She made me think about the whole construction of my life in a way that I had been avoiding. there probably wouldn’t be [come out] if that hadn’t happened.”
Miles and Conner walked together in the Toronto Pride Parade. Heizer enjoyed Toronto pride more than Los Angeles pride. “It was crazy,” Miles told L’Officiel. “He was definitely crazier than the one I went to in LA.”

I’m sure there’s a lot more to do, and I’m sure there are a lot of people auditioning,’ but suddenly it happened.”
During filming, Miles developed a close relationship with Mae Whitman. Mae Whitman plays the role of Miles’ sister in the series. The chemistry between the two was evident from the very first episodes of the series. Miles said Under the Radar;
“We rehearsed and we could work on it outside of work, but at this point, I feel like Mae and I, especially, feel extremely comfortable together…”
The couple’s close relationship continued even after the series ended. Miles and May moved in together and are very close. Over the years, there have been rumors that the couple is more than just friends. The couple fueled the rumors when Mae posted a photo on Instagram of a couple kissing. Mae captioned the photo; “Happy National Kiss Your Brother Day everyone!!!”
However, it looks like Mae and Miles were just enjoying a friendly kiss. The couple acknowledges that their friendship is different. mae said BuzzFeed; “We are definitely unusually close, as far as humans are concerned. Miles is definitely my best friend.”

Miles stars alongside such actors as Brandon Flynn, Alisha Boe, Dylan Minnette, and Katherine Langford in 13 Reasons Why. The cast is quite close and they share their good times together on social media.
In early 2017, rumors surfaced claiming that Miles and Brandon Flynn were more than friends. The rumors arose after Miles shared a series of photos of the couple. The posts suggested that the pair share a closer bond than they do with other characters on the series.
The rumors became popular and some fans believed that the rumors were true. However, one of Miles’ agents revealed that the two are just close friends. According page sixsaid the agent; “This is a false report. Miles and Brandon are friends on the show, but they’re not dating.”

13 reasons why has received critical acclaim for how it brings to light the deadly effects of mental ill-health among modern youth. The show centers on the suicide of Hannah Baker. Miles’s character, Alex, also attempts suicide at the end of the first season, but survives.
Miles prepared for his role in 13 reasons why doing extensive research on the experiences his character goes through. This meant reading a lot of material on suicide and depression. She also spoke with psychologists and survivors of suicide attempts. According to Miles, the research allowed him to better understand and portray her character.
Most 13 reasons why the characters are now involved in mental health campaigns. These campaigns involve raising awareness about anxiety, depression, and suicide.
