Joy Behar wasn’t shy about sharing her true feelings about Taylor Swift’s relationship with “illiterate” Travis Kelce.
In a recent episode of The viewBehar came clean about Swift and Kelce’s relationship after finding “disparaging” comments on the football player’s social media.
As reported by Page sixthe presenter explained: “Here is one of his [tweets]”Damn, the Clippers girls have to be the girls who aren’t on the Lakers team because they were all ugly.”
While not only dismayed by Kelce’s negative comments toward women, Behar added, “He’s illiterate, that’s more pertinent.”
He went on to read two more tweets from Kansas City Chiefs players: “Why can’t girls hide that they have back fat?” and “I feel like if you want to be an entertainer, you have to pass a beauty test. There are too many ugly cheerleaders around here.”
Behar later admitted that she hopes Kelce isn’t the “end game” for Swift.
“I’m a Swiftie,” Behar explained. “I love her because she’s getting young people to vote, so I don’t want her to be stuck with this idiot.”
Whoopi Goldberg rushes to defend Travis Kelce
While Joy Behar may not be on Team Kelce, Whoopi Goldberg and the rest The view The co-hosts certainly are.
Goldberg weighed in on Kelce’s tweets, explaining, “Listen, show me a high school boy who hasn’t said anything stupid about girls.”
“Young people do young things,” he added. “What you said 25 years ago may not be how you feel this time. So everyone should relax and let these people do what they want.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin, 34, later added that she, Swift and Kelce are the same age and likely had similar experiences with social media.
“We are the generation that, for the first time, grew up having social media throughout our entire teenage and adult lives,” Griffin said. “We document everything.”
“You have to give people a little grace and hope that the way he treats women now reflects how he is as an adult,” he concluded.
