Cymone wasn’t interested in making money when she started posting on YouTube.
Kennedy Cymone created his YouTube channel in September 2011 and posted his first video to the channel in May 2012. At first, Cymone did not see YouTube as a lucrative venture. He posted comedic and lip sync videos on YouTube to fill his free time. “I didn’t know anything about making money,” he revealed in an early 2020 Q&A. “YouTube for me was just for fun.”
