Demetria Obilor is one of the top prospects looking to add to that list. Despite a relatively short career, Demetria is well known in the US and around the world. Obilor has a natural journalistic talent and it would be unwise to bet against her.

She is of Nigerian descent on her father’s side and of Eastern European descent on her mother’s side.

Demetria was born on March 29, 1991 in Kansas City. Her father is Nigerian, while her mother is of German-Lithuanian-Russian descent. Demetria grew up with three brothers Uzoma, Ikkena and Kelechi.

Obilor’s family lived in Kansas City for a time before moving to Las Vegas. Obilor and her family are very close and she spends as much time as she can with them.

One Facebook user was particularly nasty to Demetria’s body. The user stated that the dress Demetria was wearing that day was too small for her. She then declared that she would no longer watch Channel 8 because of Demetria.

She said the following in her video; “The controversy comes from people who aren’t very happy with my appearance on TV and say ‘oh, her body is too big for that dress’ or ‘she’s too curvy’ or ‘her hair isn’t professional.’ It’s crazy, we don’t like it. A quick word to those people: this is how I’m made, this is how I was born, I’m not going anywhere, so if you don’t like it, you have your options.”

Obilor posts some of his work on social media. In early June 2021, he posted his interview with rapper Soulja Boy on Instagram Live. The couple discussed their impact on the music industry and on social media.
