The film stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, a young mermaid who makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula to transform into a human and explore the undersea world. A trailer for the film hints that it will feature classic songs from the original, including “Part of Your World”.

It was about her experience when she landed. We needed to create a character that was almost editable so we could put her through that experience – what it’s like to be on dry ground, wearing shoes, having legs.
It’s both amazing and terrifying for anyone who’s had a different experience.
