The film garnered 16 million views in its first five days of streaming, making it the most successful Disney movie premiere on Disney+ since Hocus Pocus 2.
The impressive streaming numbers aren’t all that surprising given how popular the film was in theaters. The little Mermaid It earned almost $300 million and became one of the five highest-grossing films of the summer nationwide.
The Disney film is also among the top ten films of 2023 worldwide, grossing $570 million at the global box office.
During a recent interview, Halle’s stylist for the film, Camille Friend, talked about the process of creating the beautiful look for the role.
