Twilight hit theaters 15 years ago today, on November 21, 2008, and we take a look at the author’s dream casting for the roles, before the films were made.
Author Stephenie Meyer, who wrote the Twilight book series, shared a blog post he wrote in 2007 that recently resurfaced with his original choices of actor and actress to play the films’ main characters.
In 2007, before the first film was made, Stephenie wrote on her blog: “My opinions on the film don’t matter to anyone. I have no influence on what happens with the movie at all. “No one is going to ask who I think should star in Twilight.”
Basically, Stephenie’s opinions on who should be chosen were not taken into account.
The original films starred Kristen Stewart as Bella and Robert Pattinson as Edward.
