It’s official – the Strange things The world is getting bigger with an animated series treatment in the works.
According to Deadline, the as-yet-untitled show has been greenlit at Netflix as it is being developed by Flying Bark Productions and executive producer Eric Robles.

It’s still unknown what the animated series will be about, or if any original cast members would return to provide the voices for their characters, should they appear on the show.
“We have always dreamed of an animated film Strange things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoon we grew up loving, and seeing this dream come true has been absolutely thrilling,” creators Matt and Ross Duffer shared in a statement about the news.
They added: “We couldn’t be more impressed with what Eric Robles and his team have created – the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues.”
Strange things is set to begin filming its fifth and final live-action season this summer.
