If there’s one trait that doesn’t change in most sci-fi movies, it’s weapons. The sci-fi lore would be only half as interesting or believable without showing any future advancements in weapons. After all, the military gets all the best stuff first. This could be anything from a death ray that can destroy a planet to a pistol that can even level an entire neighborhood, and we’re talking about the latter here.
Whether in film or television, handguns offer an opportunity for science fiction to show how much technology they can cram into a handheld death device. These futuristic wonders are not only iconic but can also make for very original items. So if you’re lucky in science, punk, here are the 10 most destructive sci-fi weapons.

Cartilage gun (exists)
David Cronenberg’s Cartilage Gun exist Also known as the Bone Gun, as you might have guessed, it is a gun made of hard organic matter. No, really, the film’s protagonist, Ted Pikul (Jude Law), built a cartilage gun out of leftover bones from the Chinese food he ate.
He then stuffed the crown into a “magazine” so that the cartilaginous gun could shoot his teeth as ammunition. That’s pretty weird and disgusting – but hey, the cartilage gun is powerful enough to kill a man with a single shot. Considering it’s made from scratch with nothing but bones, that makes the cartilage gun impressive enough to be featured here.
Deckard’s Gun (Blade Runner)
Also known as the PKD, or LAPD 2019 Blaster, Deckard’s gun is one of the most docile guns on this list. It uses no lasers or plasma bullets and is limited to traditional live-fire guns; it doesn’t have any other special features and will likely only do a few rounds.
However, this classic Blaster gets the job done and does a great job of “taking down” clones or cyborgs. You have to remember that these creatures are not ordinary bags of flesh that bleed to death when hit by bullets. The clones are much harder and less organic, and Deckard’s gun is capable of knocking them down with just a few shots, making it a formidable weapon – a droid’s hazard.
Heavy Pistol DL-44 (Star Wars)
The DL-44 is the weapon of choice for scammers and Star Wars The universe is none other than Han Solo. It’s a handgun that has almost all the power of a full-size rifle, but is as compact as a pistol. Star Wars Legend has it that it is often considered one of the most powerful pistols in the galaxy.
Therefore, many people have used this weapon in war and other activities that require violence. The DL-44’s only downside is that it overheats pretty quickly, though that’s a small price to pay for something with a scope and two-handed gun. This is the legendary weapon that Han Xian shot and killed Greedo.
Automatic 9 (Droid)
First Auto 9 RoboCop As for the pistols, the movie is pretty good. It’s nicer than any pistol we’ve ever owned, but has the downside of being less functional. It has a 50-round magazine with a quick auto-fire, which really makes up for its sci-fi shortcomings.
Among other things, Auto 9 also communicates with the Robocop mask and computer to quickly map targets and remove them. This means less wasted ammo and precise positioning. Of course, the real star part of Auto 9 is the glamorous cybernetic thigh holster that sits on the Robocop’s legs, something that even Clint Eastwood would envy.
Legislators (DREDD)
Moving on to more rational and serious matters, we present to you the Megacity One judges’ standard weapon, the Legislator’s pistol from Judge Dredd Franchising. Its most recent film release is The Lawmaker MK II, with Dredd (Karl Urban) at full power in the 2012 film.
The legislator is pretty much the traditional “swiss knife” version of the gun. It includes several different firing modes (including silent) and can hold a variety of ammunition such as armor-piercing, high-explosive, all-metal shells, and even incendiary ammunition, all of which can be activated by voice command. Also, the weapon self-destructs when handled by anyone other than the judge and it’s a loyalty gun.
Samaritan (Hell Boy)
The Samaritan is Hellboy’s bullet weapon of choice, and it may look like a regular Magnum revolver, but it’s more of a hand cannon. The Samaritan is a 4-shot revolver so powerful that it can tear or break the arm of an unarmed normal person; this means only Hellboy can use this beast.
On top of that, Hellboy can also be fed a variety of very high caliber custom ammo he builds for the Samaritans as a hobby. Each of these bullets has a different intended effect and purpose, and you can bet they are powerful enough to destroy demons and even outer space threats.
Noisy crickets (Men in black)
This just needs to be here. This is one of the funniest devices of the original Man in black film, as it was given to J (Will Smith) as his first official “heavy weapon”. J’s optimism and expectations suddenly evaporated when he received this tiny water gun instead of the chrome cannon K had received.
Appearances can be deceiving, however, and J soon discovers that the hum of crickets can wipe out something as loud as a garbage truck in one round. Oh, and it also sends him flying backwards after the big recoil. The noisy cricket is without a doubt one of the most lethal and destructive weapons in the MIB compound.
Phaser (Interstellar Travel)
At first glance, the phase shifter comes from interstellar travel Seems like a weak pistol. Seriously, you’ve seen pistols scarier than this glue gun. However, you can’t blame the weapons designers because Phasers were created in a time of galactic peace, with space exploration being the only problem left for humanity.
Finally, Phasers has a non-lethal mode with the iconic Phasers set to “stun” Star Wars even copy. However, Phaser is by no means a lazy person. If necessary, Phaser can also be used to heat, destroy, or disintegrate enemies. When not in combat, you can even use phaser to cut metal and thick materials like plasma cutters. This makes it one of the more useful weapons on this list.
Gun of a bystander (LOOKER)
The purpose of a gun is usually to kill, hit, or injure someone with a bullet, although the most powerful guns on this list go beyond that simple original purpose. This leads us to believe that Michael Clayton’s LOOKER gun outsider One of the most powerful and desirable pistols on this list.

It was a simple device; you enter the coordinates of a particular place, universe, dimension or reality, it will activate a portal and take you there. This device is likely Rick’s book, and it’s half of what makes him a god-like god in his multiverse. Sadly, the same cannot happen with any other gun.
