Terence Lewis was born on 10 April 1975 ( 43 years old; age as in 2018) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was a bright student during his school days but his parents were not able to afford his education. He then started teaching aerobics to women to earn money for his studies. He wanted to become an actor but afterwards, he decided to choose dancing as his career and is now a well-known choreographer. He is the first Indian to represent India in Vienna, Austria and receive the danceWEB Europe Scholarship.

Terence is approximately 5′ 10” tall and weighs 75 kg. His chest is around 42 Inches and biceps are 14 inches. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

He belongs to a middle-class Catholic family and was born to Xavier Lewis and Teresa Lewis. He has seven brothers and sisters. All his siblings are elder to him. His father used to work at Modistone tyres and his mother used to work as a seamstress from home. He traces his roots back to Mangalore, Karnataka.

Career
Terence Lewis completed his schooling at St. Teresa’s Boys High School, Mumbai. He did his senior secondary in Microbiology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. During his school days, he used to do theatre.
He did his diploma in Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management, Dadar, Mumbai. Lewis is a graduate in Psychology & Sociology from the University of Mumbai. He also did a Fitness Certification Course from Progressive Fitness USA’s branch in Mumbai.
He got training in Jazz, Ballet, and Contemporary dance from “Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater”, New York and “Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance, New York.” After that, he started working as a choreographer and choreographed several Bollywood films like “Lagaan” (2001), “Jhankaar Beats” (2003), and “Naach” (2004). He also appeared in a popular music video Badan Pe Sitare (Remix of an old song by Harry Anand) for DJ Hot Remix Vol.3.
Terence won the American Choreography Award in 2002 for his choreography for the songs of the film “Lagaan” along with Ganesh Hegde, Vaibhavi Merchant, Saroj Khan, and Raju Khan. He also choreographed numerous music videos, stage shows, advertisements, national & international dance competitions, Broadway Westend musicals, and feature films.
In 2010, he took part in the popular reality game show “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 3.”
