Tennis Star Andrey Rublev Delivers Stunning Comeback, Wins First Masters 1000 Tournament

Andrey Rublev is a Masters 1000 champ!

The 25-year-old Russian tennis player beat Denmark’s 19-year-old Holger Rune in three sets, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 at thehe Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Sunday (April 16) in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.

Andrey was 1-4 down and faced break points in the final set but rallied to win the biggest title of his career.

“I have tears,” Andrey said. “I don’t know what to say to be honest. I don’t know. I am just happy, finally. [I’ve] been struggling so much to win this freaking Masters 1000 tournament. Finally losing 4-1, Love-30, saving break points, thinking there is no chance to win, and somehow I did it.”
