Taylor Swift recently paid her respects to a deceased fan, Ana Clara Benevides, by hosting her family at a recent show.
As reported by TMZ, Taylor Swift welcomed some special guests at her concert in Brazil on Sunday. The family was that of the woman, Ana Clara Benevides, who recently died due to a cardiac event while she was attending Swift’s show in Rio de Janeiro.
In a video posted on Twitter, Benevides’ relatives are seen enjoying a performance inside a VIP tent at the Allianz Parque stadium in São Paulo on Sunday night.
Each of Benevides’ relatives wore a T-shirt with his face at the concert. In one photo, Swift is seen posing with family members, hugging two female members of the family.
A source said Peopleas reported by TMZ, that Swift invited the family to the São Paulo show and took a group photo with them. The snapshot was later posted on Twitter.
The tragedy of Rio de Janeiro
Ana Clara Benevides lost consciousness at Swift’s show in Rio de Janeiro after being exposed to extreme heat. She later died of cardiac arrest in the hospital.
The heat index at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium reached a record 139 degrees Fahrenheit. The venue allegedly did not allow concertgoers to bring outside drinks inside, including sealed water bottles.
Before inviting Benevide’s family to her concert in São Paulo, Swift addressed the tragedy on Instagram.
“I won’t be able to talk about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed with grief when I try to talk about it,” she wrote.
“I want to say now that I am deeply sorry for this loss and my broken heart goes out to his family and friends. “This is the last thing I thought would happen when we decided to take this tour to Brazil,” Swift concluded.
A source said Page six that Swift is “devastated” by Benevide’s death.
“It is a disaster that I did not expect. It has been a traumatic experience. “It’s been a lot,” the source said.
