The NFL has fully embraced Taylor Swift’s presence at Kansas City Chiefs games, but football fans aren’t as welcoming.
While attending the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, the jumbotron showed Swift in the stands. However, instead of applause, the “Karma” singer received a wave of boos from irritated spectators.
Taylor Swift’s initial reaction was to laugh at the boos with the support of her father, Scott Swift, and her new friend Brittany Mahomes, both by her side. However, she quickly went on to ignore the hatred completely.

The crowd’s inhospitable reaction to Swift did nothing to diminish his enjoyment of the game.
While watching the action, the pop icon had a heated outburst, apparently yelling “fuck” as she watched her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, fall after a push from Patriots cornerback Myles Bryant. (That said, he possibly yelled “that’s a flag”; judge for yourself.)

In fact, Taylor Swift had so much fun with her new friend, Brittany Mahomes, that at one point the pair cheered and hugged happily in their private box, Swift lifting Mahomes off the ground in her excitement.

Taylor Swift declares she’s ‘only there to support Travis’
Despite drawing mixed reactions from NFL fans, Taylor Swift remains a dedicated supporter of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. In an interview for TIME’s Person of the Year, Swift explained that he rarely notices the attention he receives in games.
“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera about half a mile away,” Swift explained. “And you don’t know where it is and you have no idea when the camera is placing you in the broadcast. So I don’t know if they show me 17 times or once.”
“I’m just there to support Travis,” he added. “I’m not aware of whether they’re showing me too much and pissing off some parents, Brads and Chads.”
Brittany Mahomes fully accepted Swift’s comment. In a recent Instagram Story, Mahomes showed off a cookie with a cheeky line written on the front of it in icing.
