Taking their fandom to a new level, a Swiftie couple brought laminated lyric sheets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show.
According to the New York Post, the couple brought a laminated lyric book to one of the Eras Tour shows in Melbourne last week.
While on stage, Taylor Swift declared that she loved her Australian fans. She had performed three shows in Melbourne. She will travel to Sydney this week.
“Ninety-six thousand people the first night, 96,000 people the second night, 96,000 people tonight,” Swift said the crowd. “All of that, those are the biggest shows I’ve ever played on tour, and you did it three times.”
Swift then went on to say, “The math is that’s 288,000 people in three nights. Melbourne, you are the love of my life. I can’t believe you, what have you done? It’s incredibly nice to do it for someone. Make them feel welcome like this.”
Taylor Swift also fondly acknowledged her opening act, Sabrina Carpenter. “Another thing that makes me feel very lucky, honestly, [is] to be here knowing that I have the most incredible opening act on this tour.”
Swift reaffirmed that Friday’s final performance in Melbourne was the biggest show she’s done on any tour she’s ever done.
“That’s the version you’re getting from me tonight, the version that’s completely blown away by the fact that so many of you would want to hang out with us on a Friday night in Melbourne.”
Taylor Swift announces ‘major change’ for upcoming Eras tour performances
According page six, Taylor Swift also announced in Melbourne an important change in her upcoming Eras Tour performances.
“That was to challenge myself to reach out to all those that I just don’t naturally gravitate toward,” Swift announced to attendees at her performance in Melbourne. “And I feel very proud to have done it.”
“But this is kind of a public service announcement for everyone who may be anywhere else on the tour, or whatever, or watching this; we have a lot of people, we’re very lucky that a lot of people see this on the Internet and I worry about these programs if they are not here.”
Taylor Swift added that she wants to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set in the future. “I don’t want to limit anything or say, ‘If I played this song, I can’t play it again,’” she continued. “So from now on, I don’t want to take any paint colors out of the paint box or any tools out of the tool box.”
Swift also said she wants to be able to play songs more than once if she wants. “I want to be able to make changes to the songs. Does that sound good?”
