Taylor Swift just broke another record as fans rush to buy tickets to see her. Tour of the eras concert movie in theaters next month. This was previously in the hands of Marvel!
The “Shake It Off” pop icon, 33, announced that her best-selling concert tour would hit theaters on October 13. Within hours of the pre-sale opening, he had raised $10 million.
The sales figures updated after a full day are so huge that they surpass Marvel’s previous record.

According to Variety, after a full day of availability, Taylor’s film generated $26 million for AMC Theaters. That’s almost $10 million more than the previous record holder. Spider-Man: No Way Home – generated in 2019.
The Marvel film, starring Tom Holland, grossed $16.9 million in the same time period.
It’s worth noting that $26 million only represents how much money Taylor has made on AMC. The film will also be available in other theaters and we don’t have those numbers yet.
There is even speculation that Taylor’s film will surpass $100 million in its opening weekend, a feat only five other films have achieved this year. Interestingly, three of those films feature Marvel characters: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The other two are Barbie and The Super Mario Bros. movie.
If you missed it, enthusiasm for the concert film is so high that another film has already changed its release date so as not to be in direct competition at the box office.
