Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and music sensation Taylor Swift quickly became pop culture’s “it” couple. As a result, they have received a lot of coverage in the sports and music arena. But the increase in coverage of Swift and Kelce hasn’t sat well with everyone. Particularly NFL fans. During the Chiefs’ playoff matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, his disdain was on display.
During her visit to Highmark Stadium, Swift was greeted with a chorus of boos from Bills fans in attendance when she arrived at the stadium on Sunday. The Swifties on Twitter were in full force in defense of the pop star.
“They’re really going to boo after Travis Scores,” one user said before the game.
“She got the last laugh,” another user said after the game.
“They’re just mad because she’s rich and they have to live in Buffalo,” another user wrote.
Buffalo Bakery takes advantage of Taylor Swift’s visit
The Bills may have lost, but a Buffalo donut shop is reaping the benefits of Swift being in town this past weekend.
Donuts Delite, a bakery in nearby Rochester, New York, ran a three-day promotion last weekend. The team made Swift and Bills-themed donuts, anticipating that she would be in town for Travis’ game at Highmark Stadium.
USA Today reports that the promotion was so successful that the owner had to hire 30 more workers due to demand.
“It was wild, crazy. What trip. What I can tell you is that we are all tired today,” Nick Semeraro, owner of Donuts Delite, told USA Today. “This raised a lot of emotions on both sides, but we are proud of what we do and are grateful for all the interest. What a bless.”
Jason Kelce shares adorable moment with young fan
Travis’ brother Jason Kelce went viral after CBS camera caught him drinking beer shirtless. But another moment from the Philadelphia Eagles center went unnoticed.
Kelce and Swift were in the same suite during the game. A fan on social media captured the pro lifting a young fan at the game to the suite’s eye level so the country music star could read his sign.
