Taba Chake was born on Friday, 24 December 1993 (age 26 years; as in 2019) in Rono village of Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh. Their zodiac sign is Capricorn. He did his schooling from a government school. Higher Secondary School, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh.

He did his graduation from Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Later, he also studied music at the Swarnabhoomi Music Academy in Chennai, but left it before graduating.

livelihood
Taba Chake started his musical journey in 2009 when he became a part of a Hindi band in Arunachal Pradesh. He performed with the band until 2011. The band released two songs in 2011; One of them is ‘Sun Le Meri’.

After the band disbanded, he decided to become an independent musician and started performing in clubs; First in Delhi, then in Mumbai. Recalling those days he said,
I remember singing the same songs in different tunes almost every weekend, and you know what… it was only I who knew [them], Nobody cared.”

He has traveled around the world; Playing in various music festivals like Ragasthan, Zero Festival of Music, Shine A Light, New Wave Asia and Songs and Dance of Northeast. His debut EP ‘Bond with Nature’ was released in 2016.
Their debut full-length album “Bombay Dream” was released in 2019.
Being a native of the Nyishi tribe, his music is inspired by tribal folklore, birds and nature. He sings mainly in Nishi (his mother tongue), Hindi and English.

- He was fond of music since childhood. He began listening to and recreating music at the age of six and began writing songs at the age of 11.
- While studying at a boarding school, he was introduced to the guitar but had no interest in it. Later, one of his talented hostel mates played a Bryan Adams song on guitar and also sang. This incident influenced Taba to take playing guitar seriously.
- In 2014, he participated in the All India Fingerstyle Competition by Infinite Souls and stood second.
