Since Suzanne Somers’ death, her widower has become a firm believer in the afterlife, thanks to some peculiar happenings at home.
On the same day, three peculiar events unfolded, as shared by Alan Hamel, Somer’s grieving husband. It all started with an unexpected encounter with a rogue hummingbird.
A bird gracefully entered the home of widower and Suzane Somers in Palm Springs, California. This is the same house where Somers tragically passed away last October. The bird circled several times before apparently stopping in front of a framed photo of the couple as if it were “floating” in their presence.
Hammel’s paranormal experience didn’t end there. According to Hamel, after floating away, the hummingbird finally landed on top of the frame and stayed there.
However, other strange things continued to happen in the Hamel neighborhood. After the hummingbird’s visit, the widower recounted how his fireplace inexplicably lit up, accompanied by the melodies of Suzanne’s beloved composer.

As the supernatural-filled day came to an end, Hamel finally prepared to rest. Just before closing his eyes, he told the media that he had the comforting sensation of his presence next to him in bed.
“We joked that when one of us passed away, it would probably be me because I’m 10 years older,” Hamel recalled. He also recalled that Somers had jokingly told him, “Knowing you, you’ll be back before you leave.”

After a marriage that lasted more than four decades, Hamel and Somers were inseparable until the end. In October, Somers passed away peacefully, hand in hand with her beloved husband, just one day before his 77th birthday, at her Palm Springs home.
