Suresh Selvarajan was born on Thursday, 13 October 1982 (age 41 years; as in 2023) in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India. His zodiac sign is Libra. Suresh Selvarajan started his career as an assistant to production designer Sabu Cyril, working on important projects like the popular film ‘Enthiran (2010)’ starring Rajinikanth. This marked the beginning of an almost ten-year collaboration with Sabu Cyril on 14 films.

In 2013, Suresh Selvarajan worked as an art director for the film ‘Krrish 3’ and in 2014 for the Tamil film ‘Yaan’. During this time, he also contributed to short films like ‘Shaadi Vaadi’, a Hindi short film in 2014. And in the same year an English short film named ‘Water is Life’ was also released. In 2015, he worked as a production designer for the Hindi film ‘Brothers’ and the Tamil film ‘Radiopetty’. Suresh Selvarajan teamed up with director Koratala Siva in 2017 for the film Bharat Ane Nenu, which was released the following year. This was their first collaboration, and Suresh built a replica of the State Legislative Assembly in a studio in Hyderabad for the film. He spent Rs. Made a temple set of. 4 crores for the song “Vachhadayyo Sami”, which was featured only once in the film. Suresh’s work on ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ impressed Koratala Siva, who then chose him as the production designer for the film ‘Acharya’ (2022). After its release he received praise from an unknown common man. He had mentioned this praise on one occasion during a discussion with the media. Suresh Selvarajan said,
Generally, technicians are appreciated by directors and other insiders, common people rarely talk about the work of technicians. I got a call from an average moviegoer and I’m grateful Teacher Brought my name and work to the common people.”
In Acharya, Suresh Selvarajan created the constructed city of Dharmasthali, which is considered to be the largest set ever built in India. It covered 20 acres of land and included a temple, a tribal area and a river bed. Suresh’s work in the film was appreciated by the people and his work was appreciated by producer Ram Charan, film critics and the audience. It took him four months to plan and another three months to build the sets. Later, the city was offered Salman Khan’s 2023 film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ for free. In December 2023, Suresh Selvarajan worked on Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor. He built a machine gun weighing 500 kilograms entirely from real steel for the film. Suresh mentioned during the promotion of the film that it was not made using computer graphics (CGI).

- He follows a non-vegetarian diet.
- On 27 February 2023, a massive fire broke out on the Acharya film set near Kokapet Lake in Hyderabad. The grand temple structure of Dharamsthali caught fire and the footage of the incident went viral. According to reports, someone was smoking on the set and carelessly threw away the cigarette butt, causing the fire.
