Sulakshana Sawant is an Indian politician, school teacher and social worker. She is the former President of Goa BJP Mahila Morcha and wife of the thirteenth Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant.

Sulakshana Sawant was born on 15 February in Sanquelim, Goa. Their zodiac sign is Aquarius. She did her schooling from Sri Shantadurga High School, Bicholim, Goa. From 1997 to 2000, he pursued Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Govt. College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sanquelim, Goa. In 2002, he completed his Master of Science in Chemistry from Goa University, Goa. After this he studied Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Mathematics and Science from Nirmala Institute of Education, Panaji, Goa from 2003 to 2004.

In March 2016, she was elected as BJP Mahila Morcha President (Goa). As BJP Mahila Morcha President, one of her main agendas was to get 33 percent reservation for women in the party. He also asked for the reservation bill to be passed in Parliament before the 2017 state (Goa) elections. In an interview he said that for him country comes before party. He said,
When we come from the Sangh, for us the country comes before the party. This feeling of keeping the nation supreme has been taught to us by RSS. When someone does social work with this feeling in mind or enters politics with the principle that the nation should come first, then whatever work we do is for the nation.”
