Subhash Banura alias Suriya is an Indian gangster best known as the son of criminal Balbir Banura. He was allegedly involved in the murder of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in Mansa district of Punjab on 29 May 2022.

Subhash Banuda got involved in criminal activities when he was just fifteen years old. Reportedly, on 23 July 2014, Subhash’s father Balbir Banuda was attacked along with Anand Pal Singh in Bikaner Central Jail, resulting in the death of his father. Subhash was deeply traumatized by his father’s murder and as a result, he changed his career from boxing to the criminal field.

On March 13, 2015, he was with his father’s friends at a farmhouse in his village. Police raided the farmhouse and arrested six people; Police also recovered weapons from them. Although Subhash survived the attack, the police have registered a case against him under the Arms Act.

Gangster Anand Pal Singh, who was a friend of Subhash’s father and believed to be a member of Subhash Baral’s gang, escaped from jail and killed two men of the Raju Thehat gang. After this, on June 24, 2017, Anand Pal Singh was killed in a police encounter in Maulasar, Rajasthan. Soon after the death of Anandpal Singh, Subhash Banuda started working as a member of gangster Subhash Baral’s gang. After gangster Anand Pal is killed in a police encounter, Subhash Baral and his gang decide to team up with Lawrence Bishnoi. Lawrence Bishnoi gang had murdered Sikar Sarpanch Sardar Rao on 23 August 2017 on the orders of Subhash Baral.

Shortly afterwards, after several failed attempts by police officers to arrest him, Subhash Banuda surrendered himself to IG Dinesh MN. According to reports, Subhash Banuda Sidhu is one of the suspects in the murder of Moose Wala. On 29 May 2022, Sidhu was shot dead by eight sharpshooters in his hometown Mansa district of Punjab. He was driving a Mahindra Thar SUV to a relative’s house. On the way, Moosewala was chased by two suspicious vehicles, whom he mistook for his fans. Soon, eight shooters came out of the car and opened fire on Moose Wala. He was immediately taken to Mansa Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead. Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar claimed responsibility for the murder. Shortly after, Lawrence Bishnoi confirmed his involvement in the Sidhu Moose Wala case through a Facebook post, in which he claimed that he, along with his gang members Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, had murdered Sidhu. . Reportedly, the weapons used in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala were brought from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. According to reports, the Bolero car that was used in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala was also from Rajasthan.
