Netflix has adjusted the way it tracks viewership data and as a result there has been a shift in the most popular TV shows of all time on the streamer.
The streaming service added an additional metric to the count: average viewership for its programming. This will fall under a general category of “views” and will track how many people actually viewed. The transmitter will also continue to track hours watched. However, there is also a slight change there. Previously, Netflix had tracked viewers by the hour in the first 28 days. Now, they will track viewers per hour in the first 91 days on the streaming service.
As a result of this change, Strange thingsThe fourth season was ousted from the number 2 spot on this list. Also, there are a lot of different shows on this list because of these changes.
