When asked if the rumors about his love for the classic song were true, he responded, “big time,” before going into details.
“My wife threatened to divorce me. I played it a lot,” she said, adding, “I had the dance mix. I loved that extended play stuff and played both sides. And one of them was totally instrumental.”
“And I played that thing until my wife said, ‘One more time and I’m going to leave you,’” he revealed.
Fortunately, he and Tabitha King, whom he married in 1971, are still married. The couple share three adult children: Naomi, Joe and Owen.
